GRANTS

Basic Grants are offered to homeowners who want to maintain or enhance their home and have a financial need that does not allow them to make the improvements using solely their own resources.

  • $3,000 maximum grant

  • Exterior repairs eligible are roofing, siding, painting, window replacement or restoration, structural repairs, concrete repair and tree removal.

  • Interior repairs eligible are plumbing, electrical, structural repairs, heating systems, and modifications for accessibility or conversion from two-family to single-family status.

  • Homeowner must apply for the grant before work is begun.

BASIC

Curb Appeal Grants are offered to homeowners who wish to enhance their home with improvements that will increase the curb appeal (aesthetics) of the home.

  • $1,000 maximum matching grant - every dollar the homeowner spends, Homecor matches up to $1,000.

  • Curb appeal projects include tree removal or planting, major landscaping, front porch or other exterior repairs that are mentioned under the Basic Grants.

  • The grant is a rebate that is given to the homeowner after completion.

  • Homeowner must apply for the grant before work is begun.

CURB APPEAL

Energy Efficiency Grants are offered to homeowners who wish to upgrade their home's energy efficiency.

  • $1,000 maximum matching grant - every dollar the homeowner spends, Homecor matches up to $1,000.

  • Energy efficiency projects include insulation, windows, air-sealing, and new furnaces.

  • The grant is a rebate that is given to the homeowners after completion.

  • This grant requires the homeowner to perform an energy audit to determine the upgrades with the greatest payback.

  • Homeowner must apply for the grant before work is begun.
